Do you want to learn Adobe After Effects? How to create cool VFX & Motion Graphics – even if you have NO experience?
Then this Adobe After Effects Beginner Course might be perfect for you!

I remember when I started to use Adobe After Effects. I had no ideas what any of the buttons did, how to import my videos or export my final project! And let’s not even talk about how to create any actual VFX or Motion Graphics…

It was hard. I struggled. But I persevered and got there in the end. Throughout the learning process I kept thinking to myself ‘There must be an easier way’. So decided to create my own basic course for learning Adobe After Effects on Udemy.

Udemy is an online learning platform where you can purchase on-demand training training content. It allows people like me to create well structured training courses, include tutorial files and instructions and offer support to students.

Any course you purchase is yours to keep for life. Since I do want people to get the most out of my Adobe After Effects Beginner Course I offer full support for any questions or issues you may encounter along the way. And of course, since Udemy allows you to rate your experience, I am always keen to hear back from you so I can improve my course.

Now let’s talk about what my Adobe After Effects Beginner Course will teach you.

Adobe After Effects Beginner Course

My course is broken down into 8 main parts:

The Basics of Adobe After Effects

In this lesson we will cover the basics of Adobe After Effects. You will learn everything from how the interface works, how to create a simple visual effect and how to export your project to a video file.

Compositions & Pre-Composing

Compositions are the containers for your visual effects and motion graphics. In this lesson we will look at how to create compositions and how to use them to group and manage the layers that make up your visual effects.

Introduction to Masking

Masking is a fundamental tool in Adobe After Effects to composite different visual elements on top of each other. In this lesson we will explore how masking works and all the cool things you can do with it.

Adjustment Layers

Adjustment layers are control layers that propagate any effects applied to them to any layers below. In this lesson you will learn how to use adjustment layers to simplify your compositions in Adobe After Effects.

Track Mattes

Track Mattes are powerful tools in Adobe After Effects that allow you to define the opacity of one layer using another. In this lesson you will learn how to use them for some more advanced visual effects.

Parenting allows you to connect one layer to another in terms of its transform. It allows you to create animation hierarchies and gain more control over your visual elements. In this lesson we will learn how to use Parenting in Adobe After Effects.

Null Objects

Null Objects are placeholders in Adobe After Effects. While they are invisible, they are extremely useful to manage your compositions and create more advanced visual effects.

Working with 3D Layers

In the last lesson we will look at how to create and work with 3D layers in Adobe After Effects. You will learn how to create cameras and lights and animate a 3D scene.

By the end of the course you should have a solid understanding of how to use Adobe After Effects at a basic level. You will be able to create your own visual effects and motion graphics to spice up your video projects.
